I found this lady on purpose while i was looking for other artists to inspire me. I like sports which are fast paced and energetic, where muscle gets shown off. Such as: hockey, basketball, equestrian, american football and certain parts of athletics.
She has the ability to do fantastically detailed and realistic drawings ASWELL as doing beautiful paintings.
She finds interesting angles and just paints what is necessary, in this case the goaltender and the net he's fiercely protecting. She manages to get wonderfully rich and vibrant colours, the red's here are highlighted with yellows and oranges, rather than a paler red or even white - this gives the image a warmer, almost tropical, feel. The preportions are perfect and the image oozes with the goalies concentration and focus.
I think this WILL affect my work as in the subject matter and possibly the quality of colour, though i personally would use more negative space and exaggerated aspects such as the length of the mask.
