I organised for a graffiti artist named Rocket01 to have a look at my work. I realise he works in a completely different medium to me and he mainly draws people, but his style is so smooth and organic that i couldn't resist it. I liked his work before i spoke to him but now i like him as a person too, he said lots of nice things about my work. I also sent him a link to my website and interestingly he looked at the finer details of my website aswell as general layout. He said things like: - You have some great work, you can obviously draw well which is a good start and should serve you well if you want to work as an artist. - Loved the nature animal themes and the cars too, both are good avenues to go down in pursuit of paid work. Try car forums and pet forums online or magazine to help you get work from that. - Really loved the dog drawing that was scaring off the birds. - Your work has a good cartoony type style in some pictures which was nice, perhaps try a more serious sophisticated look to your work at some point. People who buy art are serious and can recognise good style and a mature artist ! - The t shirts are cool too, although some better more professional shots might help them. A practicing photographer would jump at the chance to add some shots of your work to his portfolio and at the same be doing you a favour. - The 'Gabby taylor' logo on the home page was cool too, maybe think about getting that made into a graphic and adding it to t shirts, business cards, flyers and stuff.
