This is the first real drawing so far in the Final Major Project module. It started whith the idea of the stereotypical types of cars that certain types of people buy. Obviously things like this are down to my opinion and experiences but i tried to chose the more well known ones. I wanted to go further than just simply picking a type of person (in this case old) and putting them in a typical old persons car (the newer Nissan Micra), so i put in some of the issues i have with the elderly driving and a pro-chioce caption to make it funny.
I like this drawing because i'm happy with the way it looks and the level of thought gone into it (though i realise i need to keep this up and improve it on other images). I think it's good, and funny, to poke a bit of fun at people and hopefully ancourage them to see themselves in my work and improve their behaviour. In my experience the elderly drivers don't realise they are driving too slowly or have just nearly caused an accident, that's the scariedt thing, maybe if they see my work they'll think about it. It's a long shot i know.
This of course isn't a final image but a good starting point. If this picture makes the cut and i redo it as a final image i will give the car a shadow and insert a bit of context, even if it'd just the curb. I will also use a nicer font, rather than my own handwriting.
