A while ago i emailed a couple called TADO who i've politely stalked for a few years now asking for a portfolio viewing. TADO are a very mystical couple who always manage to hide from the camera, they work pretty much constantly so they asked if they could see my work digitally in their own time. Here is their reply:
hi gabby!
happy new year! we hope you guys had a lovely festive period!
ta very much for sending over your site, its looking good!
we like the wide range of stuff on there, particularly the dog jumping over the log is really good in terms of composition and the movement / dynamism of it too. we were wondering if it might be worth exploring some more commercial applications of your work to show prospective clients how things might work? a bit like how youve done the t-shirt, maybe do some mock ups for products, or editorial stuff with your images - try to think what kind of market your work would fit well and perhaps look into things like compositing a page with some text elements or pick an article to illustrate etc?
it might also be good to explore other mediums as well - have you ever tried using a graphics tablet or something along those lines? could be interesting! :):)
the site is good, easy to navigate and simple to use :D:D
we hope that sort of makes sense! we look forward to seeing how things are progressing, best wishes for a fab a start to 2012!!

Every person i show my work to likes the painting of Poppy jumping over the log, maybe i need to try and push more personality into my other work. The drawing has so much personality because i know my dog so well and she has such a big personality it was easy to get that across.
I do agree it might be a good idea to illustrate a book or article for potencial clients to see how my pictures look alongside text.
