This is the first rough of the 8 x 8 project. I've shown it to Gary and emailed it to Katie the author of the story, both seem to have opposite opinions - of course. I think i will change the saxophonist so he's bending backwards so it looks like he's putting real effort into it, here he just looks a little shifty. The rainbow won't look so crude either, it will probably be done in illustrator or photoshop to get a nice finish to contrast with the greyscale drawn jazz man. I want to exagerate the jazzmans elements more, the facial features, the creases in the clothing, the strain of playing the Blues.
